Well, my Wedding season is officially off & running, starting with this amazing, beautiful & funny couple in Calgary! I met with these two in December & we immediately hit it off. After their engagement session at Marv’s Soda Shop in Black Diamond…. I knew their Wedding would be something I would be swooning about for months to come. Everything was non-traditional & a huge reflection on who are they as a couple. They’re unique, fun & so in love with each other, which made it an absolute joy to photograph.

I met with Krista early in the morning at the gorgeous brand new Radisson Hotel in NE Calgary & she was as mellow & calm as can be. She was joking around & having fun with her girls while they all did their own hair & makeup, sipping from their starbucks cups in their matching floral kimonos. Lincoln was just down the hall with his boys getting ready, so every time there was a knock at the door, Krista jumped in the next room to hide herself while her Mum Heather & I scrambled to hide the dress haha!

Lincoln & I met just outside the room where they would soon be saying I do, his phone in hand texting his soon to be wife all morning long. He started to walk down the aisle, smirking from side to side while all their loved ones watched in anticipation. As he was up at the alter, he said “She’s coming… she just texted me” HAHAHA & that’s when Krista began to make her way down to Lincoln & all eyes were on her. She looked like a princess, simply radiant with her proud & stunning mother beside her. Their eyes never left each other throughout the entire ceremony & their vows so heartfelt & personal with Krista noting that Lincoln is her prince charming. He proposed in front of Cinderella’s castle after all?

They decided to have a brunch, as breakfast was their favourite meal. So I was in breakfast food heaven with pancakes, hash browns & waffles! They even had an ice cream sundae station with sprinkles! After a delicious meal, we headed out to a place I grew up at called Prairie Winds Park for some portraits. It was there that Lincoln had the best surprise of all: A DeLorean fully equipped with a hover board & memorabilia from the blockbuster classic Back To The Future, which Krista had hired to surprise him. His reaction was priceless & as Lincoln’s friends said “Did you marry the right girl or what!” 😉

After that we headed back to the hotel to mingle & play games with all their loved ones. There was giant Jenga, beer pong & a huge glitter wall for selfies. The Groom’s Wedding ring is even Darth Vader?!?! WHAT? It was amazing seeing the love that filled the room for these two & how much fun they all have with each other.

You guys are one of a kind & I am truly honoured to have not only witnessed your I do’s, but to have captured them. Thank you both so much & enjoy your wonderful honeymoon in the Bahamas!
