The one at Moraine Lake – Engagement Photographer Chloe Photo
A sunrise session at Moraine Lake has finally been checked off my bucket list!
Back in August, Brian and Estefania came all the way from Boston to meet up with me one morning at 5:30am, where we hiked up the infamous rock pile view point to take some portraits while they were vacationing in our beautiful rockies. Once at the top alongside hundreds of tourists, we watched the sun creep up and blanket the mountains in orange. How is this REAL? To say I was excited for a warm clear morning was a major understatement! A sunrise session at such a busy location was a huge risk, but thankfully all the gods were on our side and we captured some of the most beautiful imagery for them to take home. And you’d never know we were quite literally surrounded by people! And guys, I’m talking shoulder to shoulder, hundreds. of. people.
These views are so worth every single risk you take to shoot at this location as it’s getting more and more popular. It’s crazy busy for a reason but it is NOT impossible to get these types of images there, at any time of day during open season. I’ll be sharing tips in a future blog post about shooting at Moraine Lake, so keep your eye out! And if you ever get the chance to go or get photographed there, don’t hesitate!
I love her red dress, it just pops against the mountain and greenery backdrop! Beautiful photos!
So pretty! I can’t decide if I love the blue dress that perfectly echos the location, or the red dress that POPS better!
So gorgeous! Love both her dresses!
The reflection shots are amazing! Such great work!
