My FIVE favourite Friends Episodes

The biggest thing people know about me, is that I LOVE the tv show Friends. I grew up falling asleep to it on my TV as a child, meaning it was my background noise as I went to bed every night. And every Thursday evening we’d catch the newest episode on NBC. I was 4 years old when it first aired, so I like to say I’ve been watching since then, and it could quite honestly be true! Ha! I literally have the old VHS double tapes that only had 5 episodes on each tape! It was a re-run of those exact same 5 episodes for years before the DVD’s came out. So you could imagine my excitement when they finally did come out with DVD collections and every single episode was in my hands! Pictured: My very worn out DVD collection.

I can sit here and narrate every single episode word for word, and if anyone else is a friends fanatic like I am, you hate watching it on Netflix as much as I do! They leave/skip so many funny parts! I’ll be waiting for the punch line and all of a sudden they opted to cut it out. If you know, you know! I will also gladly accept any Friends Trivia game challenger, as I am currently undefeated.

So here you go, in NO particular order, my top 5 favourite episodes are: (and this took me a full day to narrow it down.. cause there’s so many good ones!)

The one with the Embryos (Season 4, Episode 12)

A jeopardy-style game with Ross as the judge, testing Rachel and Monica’s knowledge against Chandler and Joey. They challenge and bet each other on who knows more about who… and it’s so funny! I love this episode because you find out some hilarious new facts about them, and it’s also the episode where Phoebe surrogates for her brother and goes through with the artificial insemination. “MY SISTERS GONNA HAVE MY BABY!”

The one with all the Resolutions (Season 5, Episode 11)

This one is THE ONE WITH ROSS AND THE LEATHER PANTS. Need I say more? Things go hilariously wrong for Ross while he’s on a date, Phoebe tries to teach Joey how to play a guitar, and Monica gets into photography! Whats not to love about this episode?

The one with Unagi (Season 6, Episode 17)

I think this episode would be on everyone’s list! Ross defines his state of total awareness to be “Unagi”, and he’s determined to prove he could beat Phoebe and Rachel up at any moment after they take a self defence class. The end credits to this episode are my favourite part, with Ross pulling a sneak attack on total strangers, thinking it’s Phoebe and Rachel. Only to spot them as he’s running away, sitting there at the coffee house watching the whole thing.

The one with the football (Season 3, Episode 9)

This episode was definitely on one of my earlier VHS tapes, so I’ve watched it quite a few times! It’s thanksgiving and they all decide to play a game of football. It later turns into competitive football, competing for the Gellar-cup.. and the lengths they go to try and beat each other is hilarious.. (Phoebe flashing Chandler to get the football HA!) Chandler and Joey also turn on each other while competing for a girl.

The one in Vegas – Part 2 (Season 5, Episode 24)

This is a popular episode but I feel it gets forgotten a lot! It’s such a good one! Ross and Rachel get drunk in the hotel room and draw on each other’s faces then go parading around the casino. MEEEEOOOWWW. And Monica and Chandler decide to get married, while Phoebe has it out for a “lurker” while gambling. Oh, and Joey thinks he’s found his identical hand twin!
