For the past 2 years I’ve only ever held my Fall Mini Sessions in Calgary because well… being from Calgary & everybody knowing me in Calgary, I tend to book up over night. I’ve only been in Stettler for about 3 years now & I’m still working on marketing myself out here. I was extremely hesitant on holding Fall Mini Sessions…. but I am so glad I did!
I opened 8 spots the weekend before Halloween & they booked up in a couple days! I couldn’t believe it! I’m so grateful for the people I’ve met here & the voice they’ve given me & my business. It’s hard relocating & having to start from the bottom, especially with such great photographers around this area & everybody knowing who they are.
When it came to the location of my Fall Mini’s… it was hands down going to be held at the Boxma Farm! Shooting for 8 hours straight, I wanted somewhere I would be comfortable. Not to mention Candace made me the best grilled cheese & mushroom soup for lunch in-between shooting! Ahhh thank you, friend! You’re amazing.

I knew a few people that booked with me for their Fall Mini’s, but the majority I didn’t know! However, working at Sobey’s… I definitely knew their faces. Working in such a busy store in a small town, everywhere I go I see people & think “Sobeys customer, oh they shop at Sobeys, hey! They came through my till today” & it’s RIDICULOUS! I absolutely love now that I’m on a first name basis with half my customers & it’s so nice to catch up whenever I see them come through 🙂 I’m sad I didn’t see 2 of my families, but we’ve saved their Mini’s for the spring!
Thank you SO much to all my families who booked with me in my new hometown. It’s definitely made me more confident in shooting here in Stettler & it was so awesome to meet & photograph you all!
