I drove just outside of Stettler to Matt & Taylor’s beautiful home, where the entire place was freshly sprinkled & frosted with snow. We had just previously rescheduled & oh my was this huge dump of snow worth the wait! I was like a giddy little girl driving up, knowing how magical this session was going to be. There’s something about winter engagement sessions that are so undeniably gorgeous, & I hope more people bare the cold! To say we were freezing is a slight understatement haha it was SOOO cold that we weren’t out for very long.. but look! SWOON!

Matt & Taylor met in the spring of 2013 on a blind date at our local Boston Pizza where they completely hit it off & even better, became the best of friends while falling for each other. He proposed on August 2, 2016 in Kenora Ontario at his parents house, which seemed to be quite the beautiful & perfect spot to do so! The house sits just off from a nearby pond where they canoe every summer. So obviously Matt asked if Taylor would like to go for a ride & of course she said yes. Right before she stepped off the dock & into the canoe, Matt told her to turn around. When she turned around she saw him on one knee & he asked her to marry him! She was crying so hard it took her a minute to finally say “OF COURSE!” & he put the ring she dreamed of on her finger, which she had no idea he had hidden for 6 months under their bed…. gah too cute!

They plan to marry this Fall with everything rustic, vintage & glam! A Wedding I can’t WAIT to photograph! Thank you guys so much for trusting my vision & braving the cold with me! I look forward to getting to know you both better this year & I’ll be seeing you very soon!
