When you plan for a snowy winter November Wedding & get an incredible warm Fall day…. you smile & embrace it! I always get so excited when I book local Weddings in this place I’ve called home now for 5 years… & I was ecstatic to connect with Jade & spend this day with her & Mike! I arrived at the Ramada where Jade & her sister were quietly getting ready. She had every little detail perfectly laid out on the bed ready for me, & it was so refreshing to start the day so calming. The details were stunning & I squealed at the fur covers & high socks! Jade also incorporated her grandfathers pin, which was so sweet & sentimental.

We headed to “The Blue Church” in Big Valley to set Jade & Mike up for their first look. Having to convince Mike to do the first look, we decided to do it in the church & have Jade walk down the aisle, just like she would if it were the ceremony… only have this moment be just for them. First looks are my absolute favourite moment of a Wedding day, which Jade & Mike reminded me why. They are so smitten & in love, they simply couldn’t keep their hands off each other! We wrapped up portraits outside before the Ceremony & holy moly do I ever LOVE this blue church… what a backdrop!

 The ceremony was traditional, with both parents smiling from ear to ear as Mike & Jade exchanged vows, rings & finished off the night with the planting of their tree. We tackled family photos in record time inside the church after the space cleared out, & met up with the rest of their guests at the reception down the street! Making the room cozy & festive for the holidays, Jade decorated with fur garland & pinecones, complete with burlap runners & tiny black lanterns! A special treat for their guests that Mike hand built, was the roping calf set up for those who wanted to see them kiss! I may have even rode it at one point throughout the evening with Jade being there to hand me the rope! Hahahah!
