Max Olivia Jaenen

And then there were three!
My husband and I welcomed our third child on April 17, 2019 at 7:47am via cesarean here in Stettler, and we couldn’t be more smitten with our new little one! Max Olivia Jaenen weighed 6lbs 3oz (exactly like her brother!) and was 19.5 inches long. She is SO sweet and SO little! Eeeek! Dr. Vogel and the surgical team here at the Stettler Hospital were amazing in the safe delivery of Max, and I had such a wonderful birth experience – for which I can’t thank them enough! My recovery however, was a little bumpy to say the least. On top of everything I also developed a bad allergic reaction to the cleaning solution as a result of my spinal, which left me severely uncomfortable our first few days at home. But here we are 11 days later, and thriving! Carter and Emma are in love with their new baby sister, and have been VERY helpful in caring for her… at times a little too helpful 😉 haha! They’re constantly wanting to pick her up and carry her, asking if we can put her in all the baby things. They fight over who pushes her in the stroller and ask to feed her when she “doesn’t have your milk, Mum”.
A lot of you are asking where the name Max Olivia came from.. and we basically had Max on our list from the very beginning. It’s sentimental for us both in it’s own little unique way; My first childhood pet was a beautiful white cat named Max, and Matt’s childhood teddy bear was named Max 🙂 We brainstormed a lot of names which we could not agree on, but always went back to Max. When we found out it was a girl, I loved the name Max even more! And Olivia was always on my list of girl names that I loved, and when Matt mentioned it, we thought a sweet/girly middle name would balance Max out perfectly.
We’re settling in as a family of 5 quite smoothly, and I’m so thankful to have Max here to complete our family.
