I joined Shoot & Share about 3 years ago & it has probably been the best decision I’ve made as a business owner. Shoot & Share is a community of Photographers who aim to focus on sharing & helping each other. This community is blowing up & growing so rapidly – it’s been an amazing experience. I’ve built real relationships & felt like part of a big huge photography family. We have hopes & dreams that we celebrate together & when things get rough, we’re there to support each other & give helpful advice. I feel I am a better photographer because of the connections I have with other creatives, & it’s definitely showed in my work.

So, every year Shoot & Share put on this insane FREE Photo Contest. It’s a chance for photographers from all over the world to share their work & inspire others. & The best part? YOU are the judge! You pick your favourite between 4 images displayed & anyone-I mean anyone-can vote! I had my 70 year old grandmother voting this year & the rest of my family & friends were voting too! Over 225,000 photos were submitted from 120 different countries this year… doubling last years submissions! You can enter up to 50 images in 25 categories, with 10 rounds eliminating photo’s after each round. Last year was my very first time entering & I had 5 images make it to the finals! Which was SO exciting! So this year I definitely wanted to surpass my 5 finalist images or better yet, place 20th or better! Although I placed higher last year, with one of my shots placing 35th out of 3,170 images in the Ring category… more than half my images submitted placed in the top 30% or higher this year! I had one image place 37th out of 11,652 & I couldn’t be happier!  I’m honoured to have my work in a contest graced by so much talent! Thank you guys for the support & encouragement! It’s all in good fun & I’m incredibly inspired!
