As I’ve previously said, I first met Becky second shooting another Wedding a couple years ago… when we crossed paths again she was doing hair for a Wedding I shot last year! We got to talking when she told me she was in the process of planning her own Wedding so I slipped her my card & she contacted me right away! & I am SO honoured to have been chosen to document their incredible nuptials.
The day started out with a quick trip to the reception to capture all the hard work Becky had put into this past year. Everything looked amazing & every little detail was such a huge reflection on her & Collin as a couple. From rustic treasures & decor to their love of baseball – it all went together beautifully. Afterwards I headed straight to the Salon to meet up with all the girls while they were getting their hair & makeup done. All the ladies were in custom made tanks reading “Becky’s Bee’s” & they were all so supportive while running around making sure everything was perfect for their Queen Bee in white. We arrived at Becky’s family farm to get dressed & do all final preparations, with some family & friends arriving to give Becky some final hugs as a single lady 😉 As I was photographing her stunning gown, I noticed a little blue heart sewn in. This was a reminder of Grandma & knowing she was there. Which brought them to tears.
Collin + Becky held their ceremony in the comfort of their own home in their backyard surrounded by loved ones – & Tucker of course, their beloved fur baby. We gathered in the yard after the first kiss & captured some family portraits, & then we ventured out to “the secret spot” where we took their engagement photos for some Wedding portraits! We had a good hike to the edge of the cliff but it was worth it to have these views as a backdrop. Seriously it was SO stunning! We were super lucky with the weather holding up when it just started to pour at the end… & with rain comes Mosquitos, & let me tell you they are relentless this year! But Collin + Becky were troopers, still smiling through every frame!
It was a party the second we stepped foot inside the reception & it never stopped! Dinner was delicious, as always when it’s Teresea 😉 … & speeches were hilarious fully equipped with some shots taken by guests. The best part of all was of course the dancing, after their beautiful first dance as husband & wife, they each shared a dance with Mum & Dad. & Cue the tissues, there was not one dry eye in the hall after Becky shared a dance with her father. It was one of the most emotional & touching dances I had ever seen & it was an honour to capture it. Then the night went full force on the dance floor & it was the perfect way to end the day.
Collin + Becky, I’ve loved getting to know you both this past year & I feel so privileged to have shared this day with you. You’re both such a fun couple & made me feel so comfortable the entire day. You’re easy to work with & we fed off each others sense of humour hahaha 😉 which made things a pleasure!
Cheers Mr & Mrs Hansel!
