I had been talking to Krystal via email for months now… eager to meet her & the man she adores so much. With our schedules being so hectic & this couple living 6 hours away from me in Grande Prairie… we struggled to find a way to make an engagement session work! Luckily we found a day amongst their long travels & met up in Red Deer! I was ecstatic to finally meet the Bride whom I’ve exchanged so many emails with! We met up at Heritage Ranch right before a thunderstorm hit & we had a great time!

This couple have a pretty incredible story… As I’m reading what Krystal writes me, I feel like it’s a scene from Serendipity. Their best friends were dating & somehow Tyler & Krystal just missed each other over the years & never met! Tyler even started working at a new job, where Krystal had just been working a month prior. Literally just missing each other yet again. Fast forward to Tyler starting school in a new city, 4 hours away from where he was currently living. Well Krystal just happened to live in that city & the two finally met while out on the town one night. Krystal introduced herself & they danced the night away, together ever since.

Tyler FINALLY proposed after 7 years together! Krystal was eager to marry him & let him know every chance she could. Every time he had planned something special, she was convinced this was it! It drove Tyler crazy! One casual Sunday while their daughter was napping, Tyler hit the shower. While he was in the shower Krystal went in to get their daughter who had just woken up. When low & behold inside their daughters crib was Krystal’s dream engagement ring with a note that read “What are you doing for the rest of your life?” Eeeep! Completely freaking out Krystal fled the room & went into the kitchen! She went back where Tyler was there filming her reaction & she was completely caught off guard. Oh & with that ring, she said YES 🙂

Thank you both for travelling so far to meet with me & get your engagement photos done! You’re both incredible people who deserve to have the world at your feet. I am so excited to capture the beautiful moments I know your big day will have with your 3 kids. Hearing about the mountain backdrop, your colour palette of Grey, White & Yellow & of course the Gondola ride up to the mountain for the ceremony gives me goosebumps! I can’t wait!
