I met with Christine in my home one afternoon here in Stettler, where she came full of questions! We quickly realized we had a ton in common with both our families being heavily into racing (My Dad was part of the crew for #55 Gary Lister in Motorsports way back in 2002-2008) so immediately we had a connection & things just sparked from there. I loved hearing they were incorporating tiny bits of their love of racing throughout their day! Not to mention they were getting married on September 24 because their favourite driver Jeff Gordon, is #24 😉

Raelene & I arrived at Brian & Christine’s home that Saturday afternoon to a very overwhelmed bride! Things settled down & turned around thanks to the help of her wonderful bridesmaids, & it was time to hammer down & start getting ready! Christine had her hair already done so she did her own makeup, which turned out fantastic! She even helped finish up her Mum’s makeup, which was so sweet to watch as they all helped each other get ready. All of us crowded into the bathroom, putting the final touches on their faces & hair, then Christine slipped into her gorgeous gown with Maid Of Honour/Sister Michelle zipping her up. The ladies grabbed their bouquets, had a toast in the kitchen, then off they went to the Ceremony!

The Ceremony was very traditional, having Brian meet both mother’s at the end of the aisle to walk them both down & be seated. Brian’s son also walked their fur babies down the aisle as their ring bearers… which was adorable as they strutted down in little bow ties! Finally Christine made her appearance with her brother on her arm…. & Brian’s face lit up! The vows were both emotional & funny, promising to always watch racing together haha. The rings were exchanged & the vows sealed with a kiss following the most beautiful embrace ever. We went to the greenery beside the ceremony to take portraits of family & bridal party.. & I was swooning at all the colours Fall gave us to play in! Topped off with that gorgeous light peaking through! Christine brought a bit of fun & didn’t take this whole picture thing too seriously…. flask anyone? 😉

We headed into the reception where Christine had candle lit tables with beautiful pebbles & mirrors, making the room shine. There was also a special bench paying respects to both fathers. After our couple was announced, straight to the bar they went! Dinner was served & DELICIOUS as always by my friend Shelley, then the speeches soon followed. There were tons of laughs & a few tears, with the room radiating love by everyone. A few more drinks were poured & it was time to dance! Brian & Christine shared a heartfelt first dance with tears still being shed. They’ve waited for this day for so long & it was finally here! & The emotions just took over. A really special treat was their family surprising them with a trip to Mexico!! The night ended with Christine’s nephew breaking it down on the dance floor & all the ladies joining him!
