I was introduced to Ashton at a Bridal Shower for one of my CBP Brides back in the spring & it was love at first sight 😉 We had known of each other for awhile prior to meeting, & even exchanged some heartfelt words to each other via email…. so it was great to finally meet this wonderful person, & to have finally met her better half for their engagement photos!

They were open to suggestions when it came to the location of their session, so of course I mentioned my favourite place in the world: Moraine Lake. It’s quite the picturesque dream & photographers travel from all over just to photograph the glacially fed crystal blue water. We had been planning their session for months, trying to align our schedules, & finally a day worked out for the both of us & we seriously couldn’t have picked a better evening!

Wyatt & Ashton met back in 2014 at The Stettler Roughstock. They’ve been a long distance couple for the majority of their relationship, with Ashton finishing up schooling in Red Deer & Wyatt competing in Rodeo’s Bull Riding. He proposed on Ashton’s birthday in December of last year, where he was sitting on a stool in the living room. With his cowboy hat on & guitar in his hands, he sang Die A Happy Man by Thomas Rhett. Then he mentioned he had learned a new song & started playing Diamond In My Pocket by Cody Johnson… & after the first chorus he went down on one knee, pulled out the diamond ring & asked her to marry him. D’awww!

 Thank you both so much for travelling all the way out to Moraine Lake! It was so great to finally see/meet you both & witness the love you have for each other first hand. It’s a love & adoration like none other & I’m honoured to tell your story! <3
